Not to mention, Barbour is homely, overweight, and talks like he’s had a tonguectomy or his mouth is full of peanut butter. Why is there such a longing for southern fried hick politicians in some quarters of the Republican party? Huckabee, now Barbour. Enough already!

Barbour is conservative, smart and articulate.
It’s funny that people have let regional biases get in the way of liking excellent guys like Romney, Barbour etc.

Why is there such a longing for southern fried hick politicians in some quarters of the Republican party? Oh, I don't know...maybe because we southern fried hicks are the most dependable voting block in presidential elections?

Why is there such a longing for southern fried hick politicians in some quarters of the Republican party? My, aren't WE snarky? I guess the reason so many Republicans look to the South for their candidates is because more Southern Republican are actually CONSERVATIVE.
