Why can’t we have both kinds of fence?
Personally I wouldn’t mind a fence manned with Terminators and a few hunter-killers. Definitely would have some fun against the Mexican army incursions and drug runners...
Concrete and concertina wire don't cost enough and don't require much maintenance.
So there wouldn't be lucrative contracts for millions of dollars worth of electronic gee-gaws, installation and maintenance contracts, ongoing hardware and software upgrades, contracts for employee training, onsite consultants, and periodic equipment operation and performance evaluations.
What good is a multi-multi-million dollar government project if politicians and bureaucrats can't push huge contracts for out dated equipment to their favorite lobbyists and/or financial contributors?
