BACKSTORY A shadowy Ecuadorean livery driver led a brazen band of Bronx-based latino crooks who looted a car dealer's customer financial records and spun the information into one of the most elaborate ID theft rings the city has ever seen. The crooks stole millions from retail stores and credit-card companies.Cops say the crime ring was run by Jose "Petey" Paredes, a livery driver, with help from confederates skilled at getting and using fake IDs and in obtaining bogus credit cards. Besides looting millions, the scam also ruined the credit of scores of unsuspecting New Yorkers who'd bought cars from the dealership, said police.

The plot began in August 2004, when Ornan Corcino, 26, began stealing files from his employer, Toyota Bronx Auto Group, a car dealership at 3350 Boston Rd., sources said. Corcino, who worked at the dealership prepping vehicles for delivery, eventually walked off with some 1,800 files containing personal information of people who bought or leased Toyota or Lexus vehicles there, according to a criminal complaint.

Inside each customer file was a gold mine of data — a photocopy of the customer's driver's license, their Social Security number and their all-important credit report score, investigators said. Not quite sure himself what to do with this data, Corcino sold it to Paredes, 32, for $20 a file, said authorities. Later, they said, Corcino sold it to Paredes for $100 a box. --SNIP--

Five accused shoppers in Paredes' ring are also locked up. They were identified as Bronx residents Marisol Gonzalez, 34; Elizabeth Soto, 28, Illiana Santiago, 27, Sonia Padilla, 25, and Jasmine Calderon, 26; and Queens resident Israel Cruz, 31.

COMMENTS: Grassfire report: "The Truth About The Illegal Invasion" ----Some 325,000 criminal illegal aliens will be incarcerated in state and federal prisons this fiscal year.

----Illegal aliens commit 12 murders every day in the U.S. and kill another 13 daily through drunk driving incidents. That's more than 9,000 people killed every year by illegal aliens.

---On average eight children are sexually abused by illegal aliens every day -- that's over 2,920 annually. And that's just a small portion of the illegal alien crime wave.......some 4.1 million crimes by illegal aliens.

------More people are murdered by illegal aliens in one year than have been killed in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars since their inception.

---A GAO study found that illegal aliens commit, on average, 12.6 criminal offenses. This means incarcerated illegal aliens have committed over 4.1 million crimes and that does not include illegal alien criminals who are not incarcerated.

---According to Congressional sources thousands of illegals are coming from terrorist and suspect nations and they are bent on killing Americans.

---How many violent felons and murderers are among the "millions of immigrants" who might soon be getting automatic Z-visas under assumed names based solely on a cursory 24-hour background check (if amnesty bills pass). The nineteen 9-11 hijackers had more than 60 valid driver's licenses among them.

--- Illegal Alien Thugs Set Fires Along Mexican Border Criminal invaders are setting fire to forests and fields along the border to distract U.S. Border Patrol Agents to make their crossing easier, throwing Molotov cocktails at US agents’ vehicles, and setting fire to their observation posts.

---There are those who think they will go home if we refuse to hand latino illegals employment checks, free medical care, welfare, IRS refunds, Social Security, UI, Workmen's Comp, SSI, student loans and mortgages (they default on the loans, take the money, and run back to Mexico--leaving Americans holding the bag).

----- About Half of "FBI Most Wanted Murderers" are Illegal Aliens (Official FBI Website June 9, 2006). The FBI's Most Wanted "VIOLENT CRIMES - MURDERS" web page reveals that out of 73 wanted killers, about 38 appear to be illegal aliens, primarily Mexicans. http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/fugitives/vc/murders/vc_murders.htm

None of the victims you cited belong to the ruoing elites. The Kennedy’s, Bushes, McCains, Clintons. They could care less. They want new voters, cheap labor and a bulwark against a rising middle class they see as a threat.

Our American Express card was used in Dec. at a nightclub in Seoul Korea to the tune of $3000. while Mr. Ditter was in a Houston hospital and I was sitting at his bedside. Then our Visa was used in Jan. a little closer to home in San Antonio and Austin while we were here in Houston. I guess it could have been worse but that was disturbing enough.
