See H.W. McBride's A RIFLEMAN WENT TO WAR for some interesting information on use of machine guns by the Canadians. McBride was an American who voluteered with the Canadian Army.

That was a cool post, My Grandfather was gassed at Ypres, and my Great Uncle was with the Newfoundland Regiment, wounded at Blois. As I look into these things there was many things that they didn’t tell me as we sat around BSing about war after I and my cousins got back from Nam.
