Of those conservatives who said they would never vote for McCain 63% knew in their hearts they would, come November. Stop speaking for what is "in my heart". Your smug, smarmy posts that continually tell us that we'll fall in line like good little sheeple come November are wrong.
Now, go stand in line over there - and vote for McCain like a good little sheeple.

NO lets do something real smart and let the Soros and Moveon.org candidate Osama march the us into pure socialism !
The lack of rational thinking here is stunning. This is the same crowd that thought we should teach the RNC a lesson by staying home in 2006 ! Now we have Nancy and Harry and they want to add Osama with a veto proof majority !

No one is asking you to stand in line like good little sheeple. People are simply asking you to rationally assess the situation. It will be McCain vs hillary or Obama in Nov. There will be no 3rd Party that would stand a chance. Think of the longterm consequences of having either Obama or hillary as President for 4 to 8 years. You will not be teaching the Republican Party a lesson.

Maybe the sheeple are the ones who will stay home or write in.
Maybe the “Powers the forced McCain on us” were counting on that, so Hilary or Obama would win.

Alice,
I do not know if it will be McCain, and I do not trust McCain, any more than I trust Bush.
However, Bush is fighting in a war that has lasted for over a thousand years against hte satanic cult of i slam. He is beset by criticism on every side, and yet Al Qaeda has no need of a retirement plan due in large part to Bush.
Bush gave us a Supreme Court justice that just may make the difference in the 2nd amendment decision. To me the 2nd amendment is the best one.
I agreed with Ann Coulter, but I have read stats on McCain, and I respect his time in Hanoi Hilton. Please read the NRA rating on him and the rest of his record.
Yes, some of his positions have been despicable.
And, just to change the subject, keep your powder dry and make sure of your target.

The GOP lost something like 4-6% of the white vote in 2006 compared to 2004. I assume that number comes from the base that was given the choice of a RINO vs. a Dem to vote for. Does anyone really think that McCain inspires the conservative base, and that the 2008 results will be any better than 2006 because of him? The worst part about McCain running is the number of seats lost in Congress because he's on the ticket.
Besides, he'll 'reach across the aisle' to pass the Dem's legislation for them. There's nothing inspiring there. And with less Rs to oppose it and the RINOs following him over the cliff, it'll pass easily.
Here comes amnesty. Be prepared to press '2' for English soon.
