Of those conservatives who said they would never vote for McCain 63% knew in their hearts they would, come November.

Perhaps I shouldn't have said never. Ok, if come November and he was on life support and his running mate was Fred, I'd vote McInsane.

You would vote for Fred Thompson as the VP, and I’ll just bet that one of the reasons you don’t like McCain is McCain-Feingold, right?

This conservative is N O T willing to hand over control of our military to a socialist.

The rest of you can stay home and sulk that the one candidate who supported McCain-Feingold didn’t get the nomination, so you won’t vote for the other candidate who authored McCain-Feingold.

Fred Thompson stood next to McCain after McCain-Feingold was passed. But, McCain-Feingold is often cited as a reason to not support McCain and support Thompson.

I’m really starting to think that those of you claiming to be conservatives and willing to let a socialist be CIC are simply frauds. I only say that because conservatives are not unintelligent.

Look at the current Free Republic poll. It shows 62.5% for McAain.
