Neither Al Gore nor Gerald Marsh are climatologists. Both are political partisans.

Most of the antarctic ice sheets are not floating in the water. As Fred Nerks has pointed out, Antarctica is a large land mass with the ice on top.

That’s what I have always thought also. :)
I hope they at least account for the floating ice in their equations.

No, it hasn't been significant. It has been measurable, but they aren't the same thing. There has been no practical consequence to human beings of any climate change in recent times. The last climatic event of any real importance to us was the little ice age hundreds of years ago, and even that wouldn't matter today, since tech and crops have changed.
The rational managed response to climate is to do nothing. Measure, observe, learn, certainly. But that it is quite completely all. The rest is all pointless hysteria and junk science, and I know the science involved in detail when I say that.

Those who have died from the increase in severe weather might disagree as to whether it is significant, were they here to do so.

I know the science involved in detail when I say that. Do tell. You really don't think there's been a change in the thermal regimes of ice sheets?

Wrong, remember Global Warming causes everything! It's the Swiss Army Knife of big government. It can accomplish most any task.
