Well yes,some do. I know one family personally...the breadwinner makes at least $25.00 per hour. Has four children, two are in grade school. The wife runs the wheels off the car and doesn't have a out of home job.
They get welfare help. The wife was raised on welfare and knew all the ways to get help. Four small children when they knew they could not provide adequately.
They are American.

That's my point. Americans in that income level can live more comfortably simply by not working than if they work for low level or minimum wage. In other words, taking a low wage job is like a punishment.
I don't condone that lifestyle. I would like to see a the 'entitlements' drastically reduced.
