That’s how he did it. It doesn’t take away from one’s own personna when it is jokes and quips and keeps the attention on the quipper. That is a rare talent and most should not try it. When they spend their time rebutting arguments they bring attention to the arguments and only convince the already convinced. Many of the “undecideds” react to refutation by recalling the original arguments and think defensively. Make jokes and the folks you need to convince hear the argument made light of instead of earnestly rebutted. Non-bitter scorn is much more effective than refutation. It gets out of the he said - she said mode. When the audience laughs the argument is won. That is NOT the bitter bitten bile of the Liberals and listeners who have no sense of humor to tickle will be voting Democrat or Green anyway.

My brother who has worked for a sheriff’s department for 30+ years and has sat in as an observer in many sessions says they are excellent tools for suggesting profitable avenues of questioning in most cases and many subjects are sufficiently intimidated by the process that they confess without being asked.

"This accuser clearly has shoddy credibility. Failing 2 polygraphs isn't helping his case either."

Yes, his testimony would only be considered valid if he was accusing a Republican.

Larry is probably not telling the truth about BHO and himself, but that does not mean the allegations are not true, only the actors change. Call me a conspiracy nut if you will, but this is just a chess move played out.

Clinton INC. has proof that BHO did the deed in question and they let BHO know about it in subtle references. BHO refuses to bow out and says "I dare you to go ahead with your charge" to see how far they will go with the dirt. The Clintons, noting that he is not intimidated by this first poke, release the charges against BHO, only using a character that is so easily impeached (no joke intended!) that this is just a shadow of what WILL come if the Clintons are denied power.

After all, BHO is a powerful tool that THEY could use in the future, no need to destroy him when they could use him.

The seriousness of the allegations trumps the questionability of Mr. Sinclair the Texas Air National Guard memos.

Dan Rather called. Something about "plaigarism"....

So a candidate has to address every nutball accusation with not a shred of evidence behind it?
Unfortunately yes

Oh, puh-leeze. That's the exact same bogus argument Dan Rather used (as, as far as I know, still uses to this day) about those bogus "Dubya was AWOL from the National Guard" memos.

He was hired by Osama to make the false claims, be branded a liar.

Yeah, and Karl Rove personally faked up those TANG memos to immunize Bush against any future accusations along the same lines.

Cripes, sometimes people here sink to the exact same level of conspiracy-theory twaddle as the dumbest DUmmie.

I honestly always thought that this was a clinton hit job, but one poorly done.

That makes a little more sense than some of the other crazy theories. That said, the simplest explanation is that this Sincalir guy is just some attention-seeking nut case.

Thats probably the most likely explanation (or he simply is a big Hillary Clinton fan.

Sometimes, no conspiracy theory is needed to explain something simple.

It looks more and more to me like the guy is a lone nut.

Yes, the money was the motive for the polygraph I suppose. But what was the motive to make the accusation in the first place?

Hmm. That would be... The Money.

The proof is right here. A certain percentage of people will believe anything, and will therefore comprise an audience that's waiting to be milked.

How do you think the supermarket rag sheets stay in business?

I have a cop relative that says they should only use stress tests as a means to determine truth. He says that the polygraph is not a reliable system for determining truth. However, since stress testing costs more they aren’t being used.
