Pakistani general killed in blast : officials 41 minutes ago
ISLAMABAD (AFP) A Pakistani general from the army medical corps was among at least four people killed in a suicide car bomb on Monday, security officials said.
Lt Gen Mushtaq Baig was killed when a suicide bomber rammed his car into his vehicle in the garrison city of Rawalpindi, a senior security official told AFP on condition of anonymity.
My father, who fought in Europe from landing at Normandy until the end of the war, said German snipers would target medics with the thinking that without the medics the wounded would die. He said the medics in their unit would try to "not look like medics" which I gather means no red crosses on their body.
