Why should we be “afraid” to see Obama dressed in African garb as he visits family there?
Because it's not African garb and he's not in Kenya.
That photo was taken in Somalia and he's dressed as a Muslim. I am not 100% sure, but I believe that outfit is a Berber costume - - experts?

That headgear sure looks Muslim to me. Somali Elder? Or Muslim sheikh?
The tribe he’s related to is Muslim, his father and his cousin Odinga were/are Muslim, and I presume that’s where this picture was taken.
