wrong.... read the law: private citizens' permissible use of deadly force under the authority of RCW 9.01.200, 9A.16.020, or 9A.16.050 is not restricted and remains broader than the limitations imposed on peace officers." [1986 c 209 § 3.] The husband was excercising his right to apprehend a rapist in the event evidence was needed. Any evidence is now available in the aforementioned hospital bed.

Not if i am on the Jury. I would give him a pass. Hold a knife to someones wife and you deserve to die. But then I would never be allowed on the Jury.
