This does just the opposite. The really SAD part about McCain's pathetic response,,,is that it DOES EXACTLY WHAT THE LIBERAL MSM WANTS!!!!

When Slick was debating Pres Bush in '92,,,,in that debate with Carole Simpson as the moderator,,,when that guy with the long pony-tale asked that question,,,

which (paraphrasing here) asked--that character be kept out of the debate,,,and the debate ONLY be allowed to focus on issues--PRES BUSH LOST THE ELECTION RIGHT THERE.

The MSM was trying to take character and integrity "OFF THE TABLE" for that election--and that question did just that.

Likewise, in this situation,,,the MSM does NOT want to focus (or even discuss) Hussein's muslim background for fear that it will alienate Reagan democrats.

McCain played right into their hands by taking discussion of Hussein's islamic background "OFF THE TABLE". How sad, because it most certainly IS an issue in the post 9/11 world.

I feel that not only was this NOT a Sista Soulja moment for McCain,,,,it was just the opposite--the new version of the pony-tailed question "Can we just stick to the issues".

McCain just made the election of Hussein even MORE likely by taking Hussein's muslim background 'off the table'. The MSM , liberals, democrats and Obama apologists are smiling everywhere.

Cunningham was a little bit shrill, but his remarks were totally FAIR and right on. Why the hell is McCain apologizing? Is this is how it is going to be - no one can attack Obama on legitimate grounds????

There was absolulte no reason for an apology there.

NO REASON AT ALL!!!

McCain embarrassed himself,,,,and should apologize to Cunningham immediately.

McCain is an ungrateful jerk. He’s also a loser: he’s decided he’d rather lose than risk MSM opprobrium for criticizing their new best friend Hussein Obama. He’d rather be remembered by the MSM like Gerry Ford was: Republican, but not too much so so, and , best of all , a sorry-ass, pathetic loser. He should surrender now.
McCain is pathetic. Of course Hussein Obama is a hack—he’s a product of the Cook County Machine. He endorsed Daley and Cook County boss Stroger. And they endorsed him. This is “change?” And since when is it unacceptable to call someone by his given name. After all, Hussein Obama tells us the world will love America after it elects a “diverse” president.

McCain will go down as the ‘gentleman’ who ran a civil campaign and lost—just like Bob Dole.

“So is McCain showing everyone why they shouldn’t bother to vote for him?”

I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR McCAIN!!!

I am 73 in March. I registered to vote soon as I was old enough. I have never failed to vote. I have voted conservative every vote except 2.
Now I have no one to vote for.
I feel so let down. I could never cast a vote for John McCain. How would you ever know what you voted for with a vote for McCain?
Today John McCain began to show the real John.

I think he needs to grow up and so do all of you ripping McCain for this. Rip him for other stuff, but not for apolitical component of his strategy (oh - and one that Obama is using, too).

Still telling everyone to grow up or put some ice on that.

How's that working for you?

Well, if McCain takes the moderates, and Hussein takes the leftists, then someone with solid conservative credintials and national name recognition needs to step up to the plate and run a conservative third party candidacy. That’s the only way I can see America avoiding a disaster come November.

Anyone who supports McCain and doesn’t expect betrayal is a fool.

I saw that piece with Cunningham saying “That’s it! I’m done with him!”
Only one question, Bill—what took ya so long? ;-)

Personally, I think Cunningham was set up when he was told to provide a lot of “red meat” so McCain could find something to apologize for. The McCain operatives wanted to play the media and avoid bad coverage of the DNC pounding McCain on campaign financing. Below is a statement from McCain’s Communications Director Jill Hazelbaker:

“Today, a speaker at our event made a highly inappropriate statement about Senator Obama. In response, Senator McCain immediately denounced the remarks and apologized to Senator Obama.

“In contrast, Howard Dean and the Democratic National Committee leadership have launched a personal and negative assault on Senator McCain’s character. Howard Dean himself questioned Senator McCain’s integrity, and a DNC official called McCain a liar.

“We agree with the Obama campaign’s statement today that this debate should be ‘respectful and focused on issues,’ and it would be encouraging to see Senator Obama denounce the character attacks coming from the leadership of his Party.” — Jill Hazelbaker

Crazy John’s fevered brain applies the Marquess of Queensberry rules whenever a Democrat needs defending. Conservatives, on the other hand, he kicks in the teeth.

So you have a problem with a candidate for president deciding not to match the vitriol you find around here for his opponent in hopes of not turning of voters.

How is the truth working for YOU?

Really, ALL of the blame for this lies on McCain's staffers for not knowing the host and not giving him a briefing on the company line.

According to Cunningham, he WAS briefed. He was specifically told to go out there and give 'em "red meat."

So now who ya gonna blame?

How many people will McCain use and then toss under the bus when he finds it convenient?

And you want Cunningham to grow up? Amazing.

I wonder if all the people complaining about Barack Hussein Obama are the same people who were ecstatic about John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

Don't people realize that Fitzgerald was meant to emphasize Kennedy's Irish Catholic background? It was good enough for the goose, but not for the gander?

Ahhh.... that McCain strategery working again!
Cunningham endorses Hillary, again, live on CNN

Radio talk show host Bill Cunningham is burning up national TV time tonight.

In a live appearance just now on CNN, Cunningham endorsed Sen. Hillary Clinton, saying, "I've had it up to here with John McCain. He's off the list. I'm joining Ann Coulter in supporting Hillary Rodham Clinton."

Earlier today McCain denied ever meeting Cunningham before, telling reporters, "I will certainly make sure nothing like that happens again."

But Cunningham told CNN he met McCain twice before, including after a special invite with former U.S. Sen. Mike DeWine at Kenwood Country Club. "John McCain is developing -- maybe because of his advance in years -- a bad memory,'' Cunningham said.

"They told me to fire up the crowd. You're talking to conservatives," Cunningham said of pre-rally advice from the McCain campaign. "Get them fired up and give them some red meat. And I did. In fact, when I left, John, the crowd was cheering. All was well. No problem whatsoever until about an hour later . . . when John McCain threw me under the bus, under the Straight Talk Express. I got thrown under the bus."

Some how it like watching those old movies of Charles Bronson

Doesn't John McCain seem sedated like under a control substance?

If you watch that video again there are two men on each side and they are like right on him and the guy on the right seems dfiven bobing his head with each word McCain Speaks!
