If people keep insisting loudly that they be given details of highly classified military and intelligence matters, I have no problem with the military and intelligence communities employing the cheapest effective response to this threat, by dismissing the insisters as lunatics who are given to hallucinations about flying saucers and little green men.
I can see this as the government’s response, but it trickles down to individuals. If someone you know and trust tells you they saw a UFO, do you believe them or right away jump to the conclusion that they are whacko - like the government promotes?
