I can’t stand McCain, but I have to wonder if this isn’t a good strategy. Let others release damning info that probably wouldn’t make the media, and then have McCain draw attention to the material by loudly condemning it.
And McCain will never miss an opportunity to paint conservatives as haters and bigots. He must be lovin' this. :-(
I hate that sort of campaign. Why not campaign on the issues? After all is said and done, the country must move forward. Race baiting is bad for the country. I fail to see how dividing the country further helps anyone. I would have more respect for Mr. Straight talk if he bashed Obama on race himself then working the Clinton triangulation method and letting surrogates do it for him. McCain may have an “R” next to his name, but he conducts himself like a Democrat.
