WANA, Pakistan (Reuters) - A missile struck a house in a Pakistani region known as a safe haven for al Qaeda militants early on Thursday, killing at least eight suspected militants, residents and intelligence officials said.
The attack took place in near Kaloosha village in the South Waziristan tribal region on the Afghan border.
"The blast shook the entire area, about eight people were killed," Behlool Khan, a resident of the area, told Reuters.

WANA: A missile struck a house in South Waziristan early on Thursday, killing at least eight suspected extremists and injuring three.
Sources said that the missile targeted a house in Azam Warsik area of South Waziristan.
The dead also included some foreigners.
At the rate we are taking out the trash, I predict that the 2011 Winter X Games will be held in Waziristan.
By 2015, Waziristan will be one of those tony “destination vacation” spots for skiers and snowboarders.
Much like “Washington Slept Here” historical markers all over our east coast, there will be little brass plaques marking the locations where the al Qaeda #2 du jour was waxed by a Predator or our Special Forces.
