There’s all kinds of “proof’s”: LCPL, 1858119, Platoon 102, Parris Island 1959, DD-214.

Then there’s real “proof”: Lou Hirschman teaching young marines how to convert Aqua Velva into something drinkable; or using aircraft compartments to sneak beer aboard ship; or places like Olongapo, Sasebo, Pusan Harbor, Repulse Bay, etc.
