We had completely missed this controversy, so we’re glad Friday’s Washington Post gets us up to speed:
Is Fred Armisen, who is not African American, “black enough” to embody Obama on “Saturday Night Live”?
Debate over that question has been pinging around the Internet since Armisen, a veteran cast member, donned darker makeup to portray the Democratic candidate for the first time Saturday. Armisen played Obama opposite Amy Poehler’s Hillary Clinton in a sketch satirizing the supposedly cushy treatment his candidacy has received from the media.
“SNL” impresario Lorne Michaels said yesterday by phone that he thought the sketch played so well that the show intends to air another Obama/Clinton debate spoof tomorrow night, with Armisen and Poehler reprising their characters.

Bill Clinton went around handing out apologies.
Barack Obama is going to go around collecting them.
Did the author really say the media’s treatment has been “supposedly cushy”? I’m surprised they don’t give the guy a La-Z-Boy to sit in at the debates.
The ignorance is spectacular.
I'm sure Flip Wilson or Eddie Murphy have played white characters, and if they didn't, who cares except scorching racists?
When that is a question to debate, there is something wrong.Some how I can’t feature going to work this morning and discussing whether or not I’m white enough to do my job.

Would it make you feel better if the press was giving Shillary the free ride that she is accustomed to having and she was waltzing into the DNC nomination, a la John McCain? I can’t stand Buttcrack Hussein but having Shillary Krinton back in the White House is enough to make me buy a cabin in remote Montana and start living like Ted Kaczinsky.
(Of course, the flaw with that theory is that Hitlery’s attorney General, some Janet Reno twin, would brand me a “white separatist” and burn down my house with my family still inside.)

Eddie Murray did a skit where he disguised hiimself as a white man to see what it was like.
When he rode the subway and a black was on it, a party ensued as soon as the black left and it was only whites on the train.
In a store, a black was in line in front of him and paid for his item. When it came time for Murray to pay the clerk looked at him and said, "He's gone, you don't have to pay, you're white. Don't forget your free paper."
Considering B. Hussein Obama is half-white, there is no problem.
Also, he used to be the drummer in one of Chicago's best underground live acts, Trenchmouth.
A brilliant, brilliant band that combined slashing punk guitar, throbbing dubstyle bass and Latin percussion with Jim Morrisonesque vocals. An incendiary live show.
I believe the old term for Obama is Halfrican.
Darrell Hammond has been donning blackface to impersonate Jesse Jackson for years. And Darrell may well be the whitest man on the planet.
SNL should spoof this “debate” with a skit about a debate about this debate (sorry for the redundancy) with all characters in makeup. Bring on Eddie Murphy to reprise his role as a white guy. For once, SNL might be funny again.
