*snort* So she's willing to have folks stay in the solid lower middle class, in order for them to feel good about themselves? She's got hers, so she doesn't care if anyone else gets ahead. She doesn't seem to offer the compromise situation, which is, get out there and earn a bunch of money so you can help your family be financially stable, THEN move into a 'helping' profession. One can do BOTH, if desired, just not successfully at the same time.

Reckon any feminists are willing to come out and challenge Mrs. Obama, with their 'women should break the glass ceiling' mantra? I, for one, won't be holding my breath, but just imagine what they'd be saying if ANY Republican had come out with this tripe!

Respond, as in drop? Unless, of course, you happened to be a member of a favored class and married to someone running for president? What terrific advice for Obama's constituents. LOL!

I would have like to hear her advise that eager ears to pursue whatever career would enable them to be happy and productive. Yes, we need nurses and teachers ... but it will benefit everyone if those nurses and teachers love their jobs. Who needs a nurse or teacher that is bitter because they didn't pursue their dream of being a corporate attorney?

Take Warren Buffet for example. When he speaks to young men and women in business school, he always advises that you should love what you do ... whether you make thousands or billions. Methinks Michelle Obama could learn a thing or two from Mr. Buffet.
