The ATF has apparently been directed to eventually shut down all gun stores, in a move to gradually prohibit guns. Gun store owners are frequently rousted and harassed these days, without any evidence of wrongdoing.
In 1996, there were 245,000 gun dealers. They are now fewer than 50,000 nationwide. All the difference 10 years can make.
A good chunk of those were “kitchen table” dealers who lost their licenses under Klintonian restrictions.
