"The Times notes that to date, "no American to take the presidential oath has had an official birthplace outside the 50 states" and that there's "confusion" over whether "only those born on American soil can be truly natural born."
Every President ever, was born before there even were 50 States.
Semantics?
Sure.
The NY Times is run by idiots.

The Times notes that to date, "no American to take the presidential oath has had an official birthplace outside the 50 states" and that there's "confusion" over whether "only those born on American soil can be truly natural born. To date, no American to take the presidential oath has been a woman and there is "confusion" over whether all those references to "he" and "his" in Article II of the Constitution (e.g., "He shall hold his office," "Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation," etc.) mean that only those born male are qualified to serve as president.
Of course, I'm not holding my breath for the NYT to make that argument.
