Ah, the Jerrydome. Zillions for a convertible-roof stadium, not one cent for a city bus so that people can get to work. That’s the voters of Arlington for you!
Well at the very least and rummored the TRE will have a leg down to the stadium area. Of course taking it down Hwy 360 to I-20 or even all the way to Hwy 287 would be a grand start.
The problem with buses and Arlington, is how do you put a Bus System together there and be efficient with it? There is no mass amount of people wanting to go from Point A to Point B. Everybody wants to go from A.1, A.2 or A.3 to B.1, Z.2 or H.1. The zoning ordinances the past thirty years of this region have been horrible. They have created huge housing additions with industrial and commercial district thrown all over. Built specifically for automobile transportation.
Out here is West Texas, we got buses, small(12 passenger) ones at first. When passenger load got to two or three people per bus, we got bigger ones.
