No, socialism is the ownership of the means of production by the proletariat (i.e. the State). Citizenship is the recognition that man is a social animal and has certain duties to society in addition to his duties to family and self. Citizenship is at the heart of the conservative idea.

Liberalism is the system of thought in which individual liberty is regarded as the supreme good. If you are a liberal, reason.com awaits you.
