I suppose the author might have meant that, but it is a peculiar way of stating it. I am against gun control in virtually any form. I recall once hearing the story of a man who shot an elephant wearing his pajamas. A lot of folks were apparently more concerned with how the elephant got into the man’s pajamas than how he would have defended his property if he’d been unarmed. I seem to remember that it happened in Alabama where the Tuscaloosa, as well as the gun laws. There is no elephant season here in Texas, you can shoot them anytime. The same is true of trespassers.
The author meant that, just worded it poorly.
Don’t shoot elephants in Texas - the landowner will be quite upset. (assuming you’re not on your lease...)
I’m against gun control in any form - no virtual about it.
