Well my question revolved around morality without a god and you answered with an assertion from Thomas Jefferson and a study from the 1930’s from an British Imperialist who thought that 19th century morality was the best thing that ever happened and when it came to cultural stability, civilizations that have been around for only a few hundred years were more stable then one’s who had been around for a thousand simply because they were still around when he lived.
I'm speaking about moral systems that have endured. ..they are generally rooted in a belief in God. . .as was the founding of the greatest country in human history: USA. . .You assert you are following a personal system of morality that doesn't depend on God. . .but you are not a island. ..you are living in a country whose rule of law, Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Liberties are rooted in the idea of God and the "blessings of liberty." So far, any society that attempted to endure otherwise only produced tyranny. Can you point out even one officially atheistic society that didn't produce a ghastly level of tyranny?
BTW, you are entirely free in America to think as illogically as you like!
