National Guard to be pulled from border patrol (Leaving the border wide open for 6 months!)

The state said there will be a six month gap of vulnerability at the border when feds pull National Guard troops.

Sate homeland security said the National Guard on the border will leave in July, six months earlier than expected. Officials said border agents won’t take over until December at the earliest, leaving more than 180 miles of border virtually unwatched.

The original plan was to have the National Guard watch the border until 6,000 new agents could be properly trained.

Border patrol officials said that won’t happen until December, but state officials said that’s not stopping the feds from pulling the plug early.

State officials said the feds are not saying what’s behind the early withdrawal of guard troops from across the country.

The state said the withdrawal leaves the New Mexico border vulnerable.

"We'll create a window where the smugglers and the cartels and the border criminals may try and take advantage of," said Tim Manning of New Mexico Homeland Security.

Homeland security said heavy patrols and new fencing in Arizona and Texas means there will be a funneling effect of immigrants and smugglers into New Mexico.

Since AZ and TX have started enforcing their tough new laws it has already caused many illegals to cross over the state lines into NM, but with this insanity, the Feds have just opened the door to every terrorist, and gang member from around the world and told them to enter into the US through the unprotected border into NM. Not only that, but they told them when to come. One of these days there's going to be an American Beslan like what happened in Russia, and hundreds of American kids could die.

In remembrance of the 186 children and 158 adults
who were murdered in Beslan. A stark reminder
that it could happen in the US:

Why can't our elected officials understand that those people want to kill us? They have proven that they will kill innocent little children, and I don't want to see that happen here. Are our children really that unimportant to that bunch of traitors in DC? IF you ever wondered, now you know! There's also a video at the link.

All this GOP talk of national security is a lie.

There are NO national security candidates running except for Ron Paul. He’s the only one left for closing the border.

he’s against a fence

You want a 700-mile fence between our border and Mexico?

Ron Paul: Not really. There was an immigration bill that had a fence (requirement) in it, but it was to attack amnesty. I don’t like amnesty. So I voted for that bill, but I didn’t like the fence. I don’t think the fence can solve a problem. I find it rather offensive.

I thank you for that, FRiend. We need all the help we can get! It's obvious that our politicians don't care.

So true.

But of course, the pro-McCain nutcakes will claim otherwise.

Open borders are never national security. It is too bad the GOP leadership is now on the side of terrorists and drug dealers....and not Americans

I was wondering when this was going to happen. Actually, I'm surprised the NG is still there at all. News regarding the NG on the border has been pretty quiet since the assault by Mexican soldiers on that 'unarmed' outpost.

It’s amazing to me that Iraq is held as the paragon of a national security effort while our own borders are somehow an understandable circumstance, a problem too difficult to solve.

The lives of Americans are at stake. It’s almost as if they’re waiting for an opportunity for some event to occur- an event that will cause millions of Americans to accept a greater loss of freedom.

LOL! How true. I suppose when the next terror attack takes place, it will really only be a virtual attack done by virtual terrorists. Hopefully it will land in the laps of those traitors who are responsible for doing this to Americans! They can kiss their virtual butts goodbye. ;o)

All this GOP talk of national security is a lie.

We all knew that when the Texas bitch Kay Bailey Hutchinson passed her bill to cut back the size of the fence, and to build a few private lakes instead. A bill the insane McCain voted for!

Be honest and post the rest of Paul’s answer, which was that removing the incentives to come here will solve the problem.

But that would entail admitting that Paul might actually be right about something, and we can’t have that.
