He could have said "more accurate", "technologically superior", "more adaptable", or even "just f'ing cooler looking".

But more durable? Give me a break. There isn't a weapon on the planet more durable than the Automat Kalashnikov Model of 1947.

Perhaps true for small caliber automatics, but most certainly *not* accurate to say when thinking in terms of bolt action rifles (or even lever-action weapons such as a Winchester 30-30).
