Good grief! That’s one of the ugliest buildings I’ve ever seen!
That is one ugly building.
I note this little dig at Bush.
a two-tiered approach fitting in a building named for Bush
No offense I hope, but we’re already screwed if we need to rely on the Federal Govt to act in a timely manner.
I like the elevator stop at every third floor thing.
I am on the third floor of my building. Once I got a card to open the stairwell door last year, I haven’t gone near the elevator lobby. It’s straight from underground parking to my floor via stairwell.
>>My, my. How very Soviet!<<
Man, with so few words, you effectively communicated the whole problem with this!
Where is the building?
7th and Mission.
I mean in the picture, it doesn’t look 15 stories tall and appears to be one office deep.
Yes, PBS also talks about the free education and health care in Cuba, but doesn’t like to talk about how it doesn’t work.
Butt Ugly
It’s our very own Belomor Canal.
You just made me read about Pruitt-Igoe, never heard of it before.
GREAT SUCCESS!! The idiots who dream up these boondoggles should not be anywhere near tax-dollars.
Ayn Rand is laughing her butt off from beyond the grave.
In this Fountainhead the socialists won.
“The idea of green buildings is a terrific marketing concept. In San Francisco, it has helped grease the political roadway for massive, view-blocking luxury condominiums, implying that building these structures is more environmentally sustaining than leaving land vacant. Few seem to care whether green buildings can be a nightmare for those having to work inside high-rise structures lacking heat or air conditioning. The new Thomas Mayne designed Federal Building at 7th and Mission Streets in San Francisco is a case in point. Lauded by the New York Times as a building that may one day be remembered as the crowning achievement of the General Services Administrations Design Excellence program, what some believe is the greenest federal building in the nations history also likely has the worst work environment. While architectural describe the buildings sense of airiness as magical, employees view working in this heat and air-conditioning free building with the wavy concrete floors and ceilings as a nightmare.”
Our DIL has two responses when her children get into trouble via their own actions: DUH! and “Now, you are getting what you wanted! Be careful of what you want or wish for!”
99.999999999999999999999999999% of these poor over heated or cold workers are probably rats and think that the Gorebull Warming BS is really great.
Too bad this isn't Fiction.
At least Harold Roark would have put in a damn HVAC system.
There are 30 federal employees in my particular SF office, and I know there are three Republicans there (including me), so your percentage is off, but only slightly, LOL.
What a bunch of morons.
This HAS to be an Onion satire, right? If not we’re all in a heap o’trouble if the Hillary/Obama and the Great Social Planners achieve the power to force their craziness on the rest of us.
