McCain is pro life

Here's another quote

"I’d love to see a point where it is irrelevant, and could be repealed because abortion is no longer necessary. But certainly in the short term, or even the long term, I would not support repeal of Roe v. Wade, which would then force X number of women in America to [undergo] illegal and dangerous operations".

The democrats will pull the troops out of Iraq.

Many Republicans in Congress are getting out this time around. If we don't win back a big enough number in Congress, I would look to see the war defunded if McCain wins. McCain may kick and scream, but he can't win under those circumstances.

The same thing will happen with SCOTUS choices. On this issue, McCain will cross the aisle and settle in with his Dem friends.

As for being pro life, he most likely chose that as an issue a long time ago to agree with the GOP because he doesn't see that changing.

I will not be voting for him, mainly because I fought people such as him on the immigration issue last summer. I don't vote for people who would side with the elites against the will of the people.

Face it, we now have a one party system pretending to be a two party system.

Thanks but no thanks. I just can't abide that.

However, you go ahead and vote for him, that is your right.

Wow, I wondered about that sign up date because Freepers are notorious for checking that date so they already knew.

I already know who a few of them are and most are very careful not to get zotted. They walk a fine line.

Well they’re the web site equivalent of seminar callers is what they are.

I’ve also seen one get caught with a recent sign on date but he or she had a bogus sign on date in their profile!

Also, when they post their little pro-McCain spiel early in the thread there’s a logic that a lot of casual Freep users will click in on a McCain topic, read the synopsis and if the first two comments are positive that casual Freeper, or often the Lamestream Media as a lot of them spend their time perusing web sites for their stories, will think that FreeRepublic has an even keeled attitude about McCain. Casual viewers of FreeRepublic seldom bother to scroll down to real all of the responses.

And also note please, that after some REAL Freepers respond to their Sally Sunshine nonsense you’ll not hear from them again on the thread.

For they have done their job.

It is amazing that the "vote for R or get D" can get Satan elected if needed.

People are so easily led.

History repeats without a hitch. Just look at this mess.

If McCain is an “easy choice”, you’re a useful idiot of the near left. Not trying to be insulting, but my gosh how weak minded can one be?

I think it would be neat if a lot of conservatives sent McCain a miniscule donation and included a letter which says, "More money will follow, if you can you can prove you will treat conservatives with as much courtesy as you treat liberals."

McCain needs to thoroughly understand exactly how many conservatives are disatisfied with his behavior.

Why shouldn’t you be insulting?

The McCainiacs always insult US.

Well without sending this traitor a dime I’m quite sure he got MY message.

For I sent back his fundraising email with a note that I’ll NEVER give a dime to this man’s campaign and to remove me from their list.

There’s simply not much of anything that will erase this man’s record except the rants of the delusional who continually insist that the sky is red.

so why on earth send money to give him the message?

That statement says it all EV. Conservatism to Republicans is nonsense. In all their eagerness to win the election they fail to realize blindly toeing the GOP party line by trying to defeat socialists from the Democrat party with a socialist from the GOP is a self defeating strategy.

a re post from another thread but I think it fits.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>............
The greedy, self-serving, RINO maggots who run the RNC and infest the ranks of the Republican Party leadership chose this individual, not the majority of the Republican and conservative voter constituency”
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.................
Many here on FR are years ahead of the public..we see that
running the country must not be left in the hands of the people. the elite in our shadow government run it all..to look at all the facts in just this election process or the response to the open borders issue what other explanation do we have?
Folks the USA is now run by and for a small group..what can we do short of open revolt? I have no answer as the republic
is in fact dead. Those who do not understand this are being set up for the sorry day when they see the curtain pulled back on the stage and those in true control are revealed.
beware putting too much effort into a manipulated political
process - perhaps McCain and the Democrats win with the
conservative vote staying home. But to give your support to these out right socialists in both parties for me is not an option..A third party is what is left as bad as it is.

This economic situation will cause America to accept the NAU. We’re done.

I’d LOVE to see a third party and hey, call me an optimist, but unless McCain pulls some miracle out of his butt hole I truly think that in due course conservatives will desert the Republicn party in droves.

We won’t all quit at once being like cats as we are out here in la-la land and can’t be herded as we carry this country on our backs whilst raising the citizens and soldiers of tomorrow.

But over the next seven plus months of this campaign you can believe that McCain isn’t going to behave and fly right. The man is OBSESSED with making nicey-nice with the other side of the aisle.

And one by one, bit by bit, the disillusioned will begin to leave the Republican party, one by one, every time McCain makes a gaffe which he WILL, which he WILL. When has he not?

They’re hoping the strategy of voting AGAINST Hillary will work to draw in just a modicum of conservatives, coupled with the so-called moderates and disenchanted Dems will get McCain elected.

And it might, it just might. But the pubbies are going to turn around and wonder where all their members went and those conservative disenchanted will get restless and some way, in some fashion, will begin to form a party more in tune with their ideals and beliefs.

Hey, what’s wrong with being an Independent? You can STILL vote for McCain if a mind and when you think about it, pulling out of the Republican party sends a message as I see it.

Thus McCain MIGHT get himself elected with a strategy of pulling in moderates and moonbats and maybe a few misguided conservatives. But I truly believe he will destroy the Republican party in the long run.

The fact of the matter is that conservatives aren’t nearly the political force they think. In the current cycle, conservatives were not able to produce a candidate with national stature. McCain is the favored flavor of the electorate. He espouses moderation that apparently many Republican voters desire.

To say that leaders are selling them out is a profound rationalization and misunderstanding of events and motivation. The reason for conservative leaders indicating support for the apparent nominee is that he is the apparent nominee. They realize he should be supported. A hope for strict, unwavering conservative values and ideals is no longer a reality at the top of the ticket in this cycle.

In the debates and the press, there has been much made of the conservative icon Ronald Regan. He is the standard against which all the candidates were measured. None mesured up. None were able to provide the pure conservative philosophy and attract enough attention and votes to prevail.

Ronald Regan may be an anomaly, a conservative peak on a sinusoidal variance of political history. That is to say, to maintain a conservative plateau, the national mind must be altered to view favorably and in all the various details the wide spectrum of conservative thought. In the present cycle, that did not happen.

The question has become, what now? The answer is don’t act to cut off your nose to spite your face. There will be another day, but to fight on that day, the enemy must not be allowed to grow and prosper. The Democrat must be defeated. Above all, the Rat must be defeated.

This economic situation will cause America to accept the NAU. We’re done.

I can recall from somewhere that the dollar would be driven to new lows on purpose in order to force the need for a new currency. Do you remember that?

Looks like that is starting to happen.
