I thank God daily that, imperfect as I am, I do have that moral compass....and His help in keeping it straight.
We all have a moral compass; but I think they are like muscles...the more we use them the stronger they become, and if neglected, they atrophy and fail when most needed. This is why I agree with CS Lewis when he says, "I don't believe in atheists." We are all made with an inherent knowledge of our creator, and there is no ridding ourselves of that despite the ardent desire of some to do so. Turning one's back to God is quite different than not believing in his existence.
