McCain Forces Move Into RNC Positions (Carly Fiorina??)
US News and WR ^ | 3/7/08 | staff

Posted on 03/07/2008 12:50:43 PM PST by pissant

Republican National Committee officials confirmed today that former Hewlett-Packard boss Carly Fiorina is moving in to take over as chair of Victory 2008, the group that raises money and handles the get-out-the-vote operation, including the 72-hour campaign leading up to Election Day.

She will be joined by longtime GOP activist Lewis Eisenberg, John McCain's national finance cochair, who will serve as finance chairman, and Frank Donatelli, a former Reagan political director, as RNC deputy chairman. There also remains talk that McCain strategist Charles Black will join the RNC as well. The addition of McCain supporters to the RNC is typical at this time in a presidential campaign, when the likely nominee plugs his supporters into top jobs in a bid to coordinate the campaign with the party's political and fundraising arm.

"This is part of the merger," an official said, that will "complete integration of the campaign and committee so we are as effective and efficient as possible."

Well, truth be told, the hacks running the RNC since Haley Barbour moved on have been atrocious.

Though the cute black chick spokesgal the RNC had for awhile at least had some value.

Fiorina is the woman who took AT&T and spun off Lucent into oblivion. Then she tood Hewlett Packard and spun off their Test & Measurement group into an almost unknown company called Agilent. Now she will take the GOP and turn it into another of her acronym companies that are losers.

pretty bizarre how this is all unfolding but perhaps not that surprising when one looks at who is pulling the strings behind the curtain.. and not what we as a nation need to retain our sovereignty and even hope to keep a competitive place at the global smorgasboard buffet.. 3rd wayvian to the core... that is what it’s all about these days.. the media won’t tell ya that, but as I read it, we’re screwed any way we go hence forth.. and Im trying to be optimistic. ;-)

side note, ya see the latest redistricting offensive being backed by the GUb, Westly and the Ca GOP, and the New Majority is kicking in major coin as well supporting it..?

Yes, Westly. :-\

Carly Fiorana, who nearly sunk Hewlett Packard
Charlie Black, a symbol of Washington insider flacks
Juan Hernandez, the representative of the presidente del Mexico
William Kristol, who thinks illegal immigration opponents are yahoos and morons,
Brent Scofcroft, who says Bush was wrong going to Iraq,
Rick Davis, campaign manager, who tells the conservative base to go to hell, you’re not needed.
Mark McKinnon, former Democrat who “won’t fight Obama”
etc., etc.

Not only is McCain stiffing the faithful, he has recruited a bunch of inside-the-Beltway hacks totally out of touch with the world and more at home with liberal Democrat party-goers.

Time to stock up some food in a cave for the next four years, and hope that the situation is recoverable in 2012.

McCain's Senior Team - questions about John McCain's foreign policy plans
Insight on the News, March 13, 2000 by J. Michael Waller
(snip)

National-security issues, which McCain sees as one of his strongest points, may end up being his Achilles' heel. Already there is concern among his conservative friends that McCain may lack the disposition to command, showing an uncertain sense of purpose and outright bad political judgment.

"What's the first thing you would do as president?" the Detroit News recently asked McCain.

"The first thing I would do," the candidate answered, "is call in John Kerry, Bob Kerrey, Joe Biden, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Henry Kissinger, Dick Lugar, Chuck Hagel and several others and say we've got to get foreign-policy, national-security issues back on track."

That statement ricocheted through cyberspace, with Washington national-security experts wondering, "Is McCain nuts?" The formula doesn't compute:

I thought this was a joke, at first.

It’s a questionable choice IMO, but not out of character for Sen. McCain.

Maybe he just went down the list until he found someone who didn’t say “no”... I figure she was #187 or so.

CEO who engineered Compaq merger leaving after fight with board; will walk away with $21 million.
February 10, 2005 By Paul R. La Monica, CNN/Money senior writer

Carly Fiorina

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Hewlett-Packard Co. Chairman and CEO Carly Fiorina, one of the most powerful women in corporate America, is leaving the troubled computer maker after being forced out by the company's board. Shares of HP (Research) jumped 6.9 percent in heavy trading on the New York Stock Exchange Wednesday on the news. But at one point, the stock was up as much as 10.5 percent.

"The stock is up a bit on the fact that nobody liked Carly's leadership all that much," said Robert Cihra, an analyst with Fulcrum Global Partners. "The Street had lost all faith in her and the market's hope is that anyone will be better." Fiorina, the only female CEO at a company in the Dow Jones industrial average, had been with HP since 1999. But the company's controversial deal to buy Compaq in the spring of 2002 -- after a bruising proxy fight led by one of the Hewlett family heirs -- has not produced the shareholder returns or profits she had promised.

"While I regret the board and I have differences about how to execute HP's strategy, I respect their decision," Fiorina said in a statement released by the company. On a conference call with reporters, executives said Fiorina was not terminated for cause and that she would receive severance pay -- and a company spokesman said she'll get a payout of approximately $21 million, including stock options----SNIP---

McCainiacs are so stupid to shrug off conservatives. They’ll see the light f-a-s-t.

10-12 million conservatives can be called up in a nanosecond.

The longer McCain waits the MORE it will cost him to get conservatives onboard.

Our negotiating list is lenghthening as we type.

McCain’s cadre of advisors could not be more blatantly opposed to the interests of the 95% of citizens and legal residents in this country.

McCain and his inner circle aren’t just telling conservatives to “Go F**k yourselves”, he’s telling every single productive citizen who isn’t a millionaire and the vast majority of people who are millionaires to go drop dead.

He doesn’t just hate conservatives anymore, he hates anyone who doesn’t play the celebrity game.

McCain and the RNC are now the laughingstock of Wall Street. McCain could now tap the Long Term Capital Management team to head up the Treasury Department. Maybe he could tap the ex-CEO of SCO Darl McBride for a strategy for WTO and trade agreement negotiations.

It’s over people.

Will be a cold day in hell before anyone on Wall Street or the tech sector ever give another nickel to the RNC if Carly is actively torpedoing that skeleton of an organization.

This is nothing more than open sabotage of the American political system.

ROFL! Perhaps he can look to Columbia/HCA to revamp healtchare. And Enron for energy policy. And heck, why not have Dick Riordan revamp his brother's fraudulent Equity Funding Corporation of America to show us how insurance shouldn't work. Surely there is a spot for Charles Keating and Michael Milken among this gang. Oh, wait--it is Milken's cronies that designed the McCain-backed greenhouse-gas cap-and-trade fiasco!

I was very active in all of these aspect for the RNC here in Southwest Ohio in 2000 and 2004. The four counties that make up Greater Cincinnati delivered the 120,000 vote difference in Ohio for Bush in `04 because of our efforts (Bush carried Greater Cincinnati by 120,000 votes).

Well, unless these people can convince McCainiac to put a legitimate Conservative on the ticket, they won’t be getting any positive response from me like they did on `00 and `04.

They’ve gotten this far without Conservatives. Let’s see if they can make across the finish line first without Conservatives - especially one on the ticket.
