U.S. consumers have a much higher opinion of Chinese products than they do to the products from Canada, South Korea and all other developing countries.See, Canada is still developing.

Right now, I consider Chinese made Fenix flashlights the best around.

Is this the Chinese version of the Onion? I’d avoid the Chinese products if I could, but every single thing is made in China.

China makes the best Chinese. I’ll give them that. For everything else...um... I’d have to read the survey questions.

stats, stats, and more stats....you know what they say about stats.....
this American does NOT favor Chinese goods....I always look for American goods where I can..which is not often enough...but I would rather buy from Mexico or Japan or Viet Nam than China....I've passed up a lot of things that I liked because of their China tag...

When it comes to molded and assembled doodads, they’re correct. Many of better quality than those that came before. Many of poorer quality but it’s not for lack of trying. Beware, these guys copy really really well. But then you already knew this.

26 percent of U.S. consumers believe Chinese-made products have the best valueThis is a question about whether the price is good for the product, it has nothing to do with what people think about the quality of the product (only 10% said so about Chinese products). Chinese products are in general cheap and affordable. In most cases, they work well (at least for a while).

The existence of powerful China lobby is working against them in this case. China will use its lobby power to cover the problems up rather than address it ASAP.
This is not what other countries before China would have been able to do.
These problems are not just technical, but institutional and political problems. It won't be addressed quickly.

Many of them are. Not all. Besides, even the junk stuff work for a while. For many people, that’s enough. In the long run perhaps they have to pay more (because they have to buy similar stuff again), but it doesn’t always go to their calculation.

Most Chinese products I have purchased are missing pieces and fail within days of my first use. Toys are the worst. Nothing lasts anymore. We are conditioned to throw out appliances because they are so cheap it isn’t worth getting them repaired.
I don;t understand why the environmentalist are not sitting in Long Beach Harbor blocking containers from China. If they wanted to make a real impact that is the first place to start!
