Worthless vermin that took the life of a beautiful, talented young lady.

I am also horrified that this evil person took this young lady’s life. I will be sending my daughter off to college in a few years and I worry for her safety. But, I wonder if this young lady had been black would the story be as big in some people’s minds. My husband and I plan to take our baby to the shooting range when it is legal in our state and encourage her to arm herself.

If the victim was a lovely young black woman who was the president of the student body at UNC, I think it would be just as big a story. The press would say (truthfully) that a life of such promise had been snuffed out.

brwnsuga, I am white and I have been wondering the same thing. I think we would be as outraged if this same girl was black. This same girl, a senseless,random murder by someone from another world than hers like this guy seems to be.

I had so much rage against this guy at first - well I still do, but imagine how clear it is to him now what a low life worthless piece of _______ he is. It's got to be painful to him to be that low. I hope it is.
