“”So on the one end, they are saying he’s not prepared to be president. On the other hand, they’re saying maybe he ought to be vice president,” Kerry said.”

Kerry would love to be VP. He’d hate it if Mrs Clinton picked Obama.

This is the guy who said Silky Pony was not fit to be president in the primaries, then picked him as VP.

I bet he’s still waiting for Algor to announce Gore-Kerry ‘08!

Should we be grateful to Bill Clinton that he dragged Al Gore to defeat in 2000 and spared the country a Gore Presidency, or blame him for picking him as VP in 1992 and thereby helping him get closer to being elected than he ever would have been otherwise? (Gore didn’t do so well in 1988 before the Clinton connection.)

Of course Hillary’s talk of Obama as her running mate is cynical—but are voters ignorant enough to vote Democrat smart enough to detect the cynicism?

My VP Clinton nightmare has her as VP for eight years to an empty suit who likes to play and likes the limelight while Mrs Clinton writes all the laws and policy documents (like she’s used to).

Then she runs as President, this time with experience she obtained legally and can brag about. Another eight years.

Add to that the eight she already has and she’d set a record for time in charge.

If your conspiracy theory is correct, you could make a lot of money. Go over to Intrade. Among the folks who are putting down their cold, hard cash, Obama is about three times more likely to get the nomination than is the Hildabeast. As for V.P., betting 15 bucks on Obama will give you a payout of 100 if you are correct (an 85 dollar profit) and you would only lose the 15 if someone else gets the nod.

They are sending a signal ..... which means that they can vote for her and Obama at the same time--a twofer.

Agreed. However, the Clinton Crime Family had almost eight years to concoct this plan, hence, I smell a rat. Snakehead and Bill probably put this together, Barack was chosen 'cause he's dirty and could MLK the crowd and, more importantly, make this look like a 'contest' the she-beast wins.

Barry can take a 'dive' soon as Hill has already been crowned the 'comeback squib' and they'll conserve the tarnish. If he doesn't, they'll take him down, all the way to Chinatown. Don't think they haven't a replacement token in case this happens. But, he won't- he's a playa and '16 looks fine to him.

How about a hybrid nightmare?

8 years as co-president with Bill
6-1/2 years + one day as Obama’s Veep
2-1/2 years - one day as the succession president
8 years as the [fraudulently] elected president, and finally,
8 years as the president's mom...

She'd only be 92 after all this...

"It may be the first time in history that the person who is running number two would offer the person running number one the number two position," Daschle told "Meet the Press."

Ouch. I'm not a fan of Tommy, but he's got a point.

Thanks for the tip, I've never done that well gambling. I did hit 7 out of 8 on a Keno ticket in Reno for $4440. Bought a new Compaq computer (pentium one).

Keno's not rigged as I feel this election is. First, the open primaries weaklinked us into John McCain. Secondly, Hillary's pre-ordained ascendency had to look competitive, so they 'bought' a race. Edwards holds the key, and who has he endorsed? No one. The Clintons knew he wouldn't do VP again, so he was kept out of the loop.

If Barry goes toward PA losing MSM steam and momentum, that'll be your sign. A couple of things going in their favor: a sickening ecomomy and McCain's 100 years' war. Fate could be no less cruel to our country in our hour of need.

Kerry's comments crack me up:

Sen. John Kerry, a Massachusetts Democrat who has endorsed Obama, derided the suggestion. "The first threshold question about a vice president is, are you prepared to be president?"

This from the guy who selected slip-'n-fall lawyer John Friggin Edwards??

Jobs for Democrats, Israel for McCain
Boston Globe | 11-7-08
Posted on 03/09/2008 8:54:34 AM EDT by SJackson
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1982812/posts

“Laying out the contours of the presidential race to come, Democrats Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama bemoaned the latest dire jobs report out this morning, while Republican John McCain focused on the slaying of eight students at a Jerusalem seminary on Thursday.

“McCain, whose strength is foreign policy and national security, called the shooting a ‘heinous massacre’ and strongly defended Israel’s right to defend itself.

“’I strongly condemn this heinous attack against innocent students,’ he said in a statement issued by his campaign. ‘No cause justifies wanton murder. This gruesome attack once again makes clear to the world that Israel faces extremists whose cause is not peace but the slaughter of Israelis.’”

Hillary cannot win if 10% to 20% of the Democrats’ largest and most loyal base constituency stays home on election day because they are bitter and royally pee’d off..

Gore may or may not have suspected Clintons impending troubles. Then again, Gore was a pretty corrupt fellow. Obama is looking the same.

You are probably right that I should not infer that Obama is anything less than a fellow pig comfortable wallowing with his mates. And a veep slot is close enough to the power to sate his appetite.

If Obama doesn't get the nomination this time, he'd be better off staying in the Senate and running in 2012 or 2016 (whenever there isn't an incumbent 'Rat President)--he's only slightly older now than Bill Clinton was in 1992, and serving as Hillary's doormat doesn't do much to enhance his appeal. But perhaps the Clintons would find a way to coerce him into accepting the VP slot.

Of course there is a bit of a danger for Hillary--there are always some nuts out there who want to kill the President, whoever the President is (sometimes they think a previous President is still in office), but the fact that an assassin could give the US its first black President might increase the number of such nuts.
