Democrats don’t resign over sex scandals. Spitzer will hang tough. I predict he will play the disability card - as in “sexual addiction” - and throw himself on the therapeutic mercy of the public. As to criminal charges, he was just a john. Johns generally don’t get indicted. And he was probably careful to use his own money to pay Karen and Temeka or whoever. So, basically, the argument will be “this is my private life, so butt out”.

The first caller to Hannity’s show was a woman who said what does it matter to me what he does in his time off, as long as he’s doing his job well? The fact that he broke the law meant nothing to her. I suspect there must be plenty more like her in NY. If there were to be a “do over” election tomorrow I’d bet Spitzer would win again. NY is too far gone.

Speaking of Hannity, he said he had a run in with Spitzer too after the latter had been a guest on his show. He didn’t get into detail but I suppose it was something like what Spitzer normally does when he gets criticized. He threatens his detractor with legal action, and tries to cut off free speech. I hope the governor is not monitoring what I say here....

I picked up on that right away during his "news conference."

He referred to a "private matter" and alluded to continuing his agenda for NY at the beginning of his remarks.

Add to that he's a Democrat, and I'll be very surprised if he quits.
