Police Release New Photos in UNC Student Slaying

Chapel Hill, N.C. — Chapel Hill police Monday evening released two new photographs of a man they want to talk to about the shooting death of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Student Body President Eve Carson.

The photos show a black man attempting to use Carson’s debit card at an automated-teller machine in a local convenience store, Chapel Hill Police Chief Brian Curran said.

He did not specify when or where the pictures were taken, in order to protect the investigation. "The photos depict a male going into an area convenience store," Curran said. That man was the "only person in the store when an attempt was made to use Eve Carson’s ATM card."

This happens all the time, and even the mayor of Charlotte says this is likely, and he has been trying to get legislation passed for three years to combat the gang related crimes in the area.

Also, a coworker today pointed out that the media missed a golden opportunity when they failed to broadcast a picture of the suspect during the Duke/UNC game, even though they did dedicate some time to discussing the victim.

Reports about these new photos also relate there is reason to believe the perps were still in possession of Eve's Highlander when these undated photos were taken.

The 2nd suspect in the back seat appears to be wearing a big dark jacket.
