Suspect rights over the rights of those upholding the law. That is what this settlement amounts to.

That is why is always a good personal policy to shoot anyone who comes to your front door right away...it prevents the possible harm to the homeowner from the “knife, hit, shoot, kick, spit on him before defending” yourself.

The man was not threatening the officer, and in no way appeared threatening.

In general I support cops, but this was WAY over the line.

That might be a valid argument if Massey actually had one or acted in a threatening manner. Otherwise cops could go around tazing and shooting anyone they wanted to. I know that sounds like nirvana for some but most freedom loving people want controls on the use of force.
