Quite honestly, I don't think a VP choice means much of anything. Unless there is something about him the opposition can use. I mean, they don't do anything unless the president croaks. And I think McCain is to ornery to do that. Maybe in the old days that idea of regional balance. But I'm not even so sure that was as important as it was made out to be.

I agree. A VP pick means nothing other than an attempt to pull a few more voters in. Also McCain isn’t the type to let a disagreement with his VP get in the way of doing whatever in the hell he damned well pleases.
