Lack of character and self-control.

Any wife that is starving her husband for sex & physical affection better be planning for a divorce. It will be coming.

re: I've said it before and I'll say it again; Dr. Laura is a harpy and a misogynist.)))

She is way over the top on this one.

When a married father cheats--he also cheats on his children. If anyone hear doesn't think that's so--then imagine being Spitzer facing your three daughters and blaming their mother for this sleazy public humiliation. Maybe it wouldn't bother Spitzer, but that would really make him slime.

Should Laura take the three daughters into account, too, and blame them? She seems to think that men can do no wrong.

LOL — Ain’t that the truth! :)

I know when my husband helps with the kids and the housework, at the very least I’m not exhausted, or frazzled when the time comes to have some adult fun! LOL

Dr. Laura Schlessinger has never been one to shrink from controversy, and she leaped headlong into one on Monday when she said that if a husband cheats, his wife may share some of the blame.

No, each individual is responsible for his or her own actions and should be held accountable with this idea in mind. Putting the blame on another, even in part, is morally wrong and reprehensible.

he’s very susceptible to the charm of some other woman making him feel what he needs

No excuse … he is still responsible for his actions.

I can’t believe the people in this thread who are essentially justifying cheating. Disgusting.

Try it, a woman who has to spend less time and energy on cleaning, doing laundry, taking care of the kids, may have the time and energy to spend it on her husband. She won’t be resenting the fact that she has to do it all while the hubby sits in front of the computer discussing politics with strangers.
What is with the attitude some have here that the women owe them? No wonder there are so many divorced couples out there.

So true... And if those children happen to be daughters, it just sets them up for the same type of self-blame in their own relationships! If they happen to be sons, they may grow up thinking that it’s OK to go out and cheat if they don’t FEEL their wife is “good enough” to them (ignoring their own responsibility for a healthy marriage). This statement of course applies to a cheating husband, but I’ll bet some of the same issues happen with the children of a cheating wife as well.

“sorry if I disagree there. My hubby is always willing and ready when I want it.”

Many men won’t admit it but few are actually so shallow that sex alone will fulfill all their needs. A committed relationship where both man and woman feed the physical and psychological needs of their spouse are what keeps people happy.

I’ve seen a zillion guys like that. I’ve seen them dump women I’d have crawled on miles of red hot glass for cuz the woman wasn’t dirty.

And I’ve seen a zillion women dump men most women dream about for their high school leather jacket badboy too. It goes both ways.

That is probably why Bill Clinton remained in office.

They MAY not get more as well.

It has to do more with feeling appreciated, knowing that your spouse cares enough about you to be willing to share the household duties.
Women who work outside the home don’t have the luxury and being able to come home and put their feet up, especially when there are kids to deal with. It is always nice to have a husband who understands that if he pitches in to help, then that leaves more time for both of you to spend time together. What you have is less resentment on the part of the spouse who ends up having to pull double duty.

On the other hand! Men have sex in the shower(Alone)out of total frustration!

By the time we get a chance at normal sex, it’s over in an instant(also very frustrating)!

Catch 22!

“When the wife does not focus in on the needs and the feelings, sexually, personally, to make him feel like a man, to make him feel like a success, to make him feel like her hero, he’s very susceptible to the charm of some other woman making him feel what he needs,” the popular psychologist and radio personality said.”

What about when the man doesn’t focus in on his wifes feelings, needs, etc.?
why should it have to be the wifes job to make him feel like a success? shouldn’t he be smart enough to figure that out for himself? shouldn’t he actually BE A HERO before a wife treats him like one?

if not, then i think we have a whole shitload of spoiled brats out there posing as husbands.

If anyone believes this article is quoting her accurately, you're a moron.

And as an off and on listener to her for many, many years she bags on women and men BOTH. She doesn't favor men, she doesn't favor women. Some days or weeks it may seem like because of the types of calls she gets, but overall she nails everybody.

She's a big advocate of treating your man like gold because you get it back in spades. Somehow that part of her point is always left out.

That said, I can't stand her - her personality is insufferable and she's too often rude.

But she is spot on 95% of the time.
