They just left the other kids?????
Yes, I am one of those Freepers who has little to no respect for LEOs. Sorry. But, I have seen and heard more bad than good. Spoke to a young man yesterday who was in school for criminal justice. When asked if he was going to go in to police work, he said that he was getting out of the field, changing his course. He said all the cops here were bullied or bullies and that is why they became cops.

Especially these fat stupid women who have no business being cops in the first place. NYC is crawling with these bitches.

Every one of them seems to be on some power trip. I've run across a couple of those. One pulled me over a few years ago for a license plate light being out and you'd have thought I'd pulled a hit and run.

Ahhh- we all know what her mistake was! She was too close, and the child didn’t roast to death in the car. If THAT had happened, if she had ‘forgotten’ -Lawdy, the SYMPATHY for the poor woman would be incredible! The ‘explanations’ and excuses for the child’s death, and the outpouring of love for the poor ‘suffering’ parents, would be nauseating!
Summer is coming, lets keep an eye on news out of Chicago. All she has to do is legally stall her case until the first baby is forgotten to fry in a car. Then she should demand the same sympathy and understanding the ‘grieving’ parents get.
Hmmm- maybe it wasn’t that the kid was in the car and she wasn’t, maybe it was what charity she was donating to??

I'd be suing the crap outta the cops and the city for child endangerment.

As another poster pointed out. If there are security tapes supporting the parent as well as witnesses then all the arresting officers should be canned.

I have to admire the husband for keeping his cool.

“community service officer” - WTF is that?

a welfare job given to another parasite, who has NO skills for which the private market would pay. In other words, an envy driven Rat voter.

am convinced that a large percentage of cops need to be handcuffed, tazed and jailed.

Community Service Officers are basically hand-picked rent-a-cops. At least they are where I live; footling stooges of the local government that used to be street parking enforcers.

I hope so, it's from the Declaration of Independence and was penned by our founding fathers who are now approaching 12,000 RPMs in their graves.

This sounds like it's a "power" thing on the cops part.

Enlarged ego's when the uniform is put on.

I always scurry my kids into the car, then put the groceries or whatnot into the hatch and take care of the cart (I ALWAYS park within two or three spaces of a cart corral, even if it means I’m far from the store). Drivers in parking lots drive like they are completely insane and blind to boot. The way I see it, the kiddies are safer in the car.

For that jurisdiction? I'm not sure....but in many jurisdictions a "community service officer" is a quasi police officer. They have no arrest powers but can write reports...aka "take paper" on a cold burlary, auto theft...talk before community meetings etc..

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

We need a place to start listing these...

I remember my friend only got a one day suspension because of the rule, I’m not sure how many days the other student got but it was more then one.

BTW: This was Southern Louisiana about 10 years ago, they still did a morning moment of silence and when I was in elementary school the principle still paddled misbehaving kids.

I’ve found that the best accident avoiding technique is to simply pay attention to what’s going on around me.

Use the rearview and side mirrors. Look ahead, to the rear, left and right.

When I start braking for a car in front of me, one of the first things I do is check my rear view mirror to see what the guy behind me is doing. And like my dad taught me to never believe that a gun was unloaded, check for yourself, I never believe that every car is going to stop for a light or stop sign.

Stay off the cell phone when you’re driving.

And if she had been at home and left the room for a few minutes would the police have been so quick to arrest her?

how she never set foot inside the store and was just there to let the kids donate money, or how she could always see her car

Thatclears it up for ME. Good thing these lame rules weren't around when my mother would "send us out to the (unlocked) car (that had no seatbeltsand a steel dashboard)" if we misbehaved in a store.
