On Wednesday, March 19, POG will be holding a torch-lit march to a modern day castle of abominations—our local military recruiting station. If the station remains open, we intend to evict it and everything inside of it, occupy the location, and transform it into something useful for the community. We'll also be bringing a movable cage in which to confine military recruiters until they no longer pose a danger to our friends and neighbors. Of course, the station may be closed and recruiters may flee or hide behind the police apparatus that enables the war to continue. That is often the case, and we've seen in the past the overwhelming resources the state directs against these anniversary events because of their importance as a symbol of dissent. We believe in acting effectively, in confronting the war, at times and places of our choosing. When the state brings the resources necessary to suppress direct action against the war, it makes sense to hold a symbolic protest, and we still consider that a success, as it exposes the reality that it is ultimately on the local level that our countries war policy will be decided.

They are in towns all over America, though they don’t carry axe handles anymore. We call them Freepers.
I passed my fifth anniversary as a street freeper last October, and on 15 Feb I passed my fifth anniversary staanding up for the troops here in Freeport.
Yeah, dissent really is patriotic, but you never see a patriotic dissenter sporting one of those stickers, just the folks who think it’s patriotic to make your country lose a war to barbarians.
Sounds to me as if these “folks” need to learn the true meaning of the term “deadline” for themselves.
As I read the announcement I couldn’t help but to think it was an open call to commit various crimes - destruction of public property, kidnapping ...
You have got to be kidding me?!
This is an outrage. They are talking burglary, destruction of property, kidnapping, etc.
They need to be met with force.

Are such groups within their rights regarding local, state, and federal laws, to act in this way.

Of course I am back home in Pittsburgh on spring break now and will be going back to school in Virginia on Sunday! If I would have been home, I would be the first person standing guard at the recruiter’s door!! I stood guard at Camp LeJeune and I would certainly stand guard in my hometown!! These people must be transplants cause most of us from the ‘burgh are proud people and this is not what we do!! If anyone is going, will you keep me posted??

Mr. S. I’m with you on that. It makes my blood boil. I finally got whois to work and the results are interesting. I doubt the phone number is correct don’t know the area code up there but the address probably is because he would have to use a credit card to register the domain. Maybe some Freeper’s in Pitts town would want to go pay Daniel a visit or recon and take pictures.
