I am so very grateful that arrests have been made. I live here and this has shaken us. What a terrible, senseless thing to do. What a lovely girl. Makes no sense at all.
Demario James Atwater, 21, faces one count of first-degree murder in the March 5 slaying of 22-year-old Eve Carson. A second suspect, Lawrence Alvin Lovette Jr. , shown, is still being sought. Chapel Hill Police believe Lovette to be the driver pictured in the first ATM photograph.
They better charge him with a “hate” crime like they do all whites that commit violence against blacks. Same with the Auburn case where she was abducted on campus at gunpoint-unreal.
