Sheesh. When I was in 7th grade, we were finally allowed to chew gum in school. I made money by selling 1 cent bubble gum for a nickel.

I do hope the parents retain counsel and sue all the educrats involved in this debacle. Hopefully, a jury will give the parents and the boy the assets and retirement benefits of teh educrats.
That’s a mild penalty - I prefer having the offending educrats organ banked, assuming anyone would want any part of one of those things.
Had the boy taken the candy by force, or stolen the candy, things would be seen differently. But, the boy bought the candy. That’s “bought” as in “willing seller, willing buyer”.
Perhaps the issue to the teaching class was that it was an example of the feared “free market” and it was still alive and functioning in their Public Institute of Marxist Studies.
If they can’t be organ banked, call Alpo.
;-)

Skittles is just a gateway candy...gotta stop it now. Thinking the same thing. First its Skittles, then its Necco Wafers, finally these kids will be down and out hooked on 3 Musketeer bars.
Good thing we have a school system attuned to these kind of dangers facing children.

LOL! That’s what I was thinking!
I wonder how many kids got “busted” for bringing in their Halloween candy last October.
Idiot liberals just making more work for themselves by passing stupid “feel good” laws.

Too bad the other kid wasn’t selling condoms or machine-guns out of his locker. That would’ve been just fine.<*sarc*>

I wonder if a little bit a national publicity had anything to do with this.
