U.S.A

If the Dems don't stop fighting, McCain will win By Patricia J. Williams Friday, 03.14.2008, 05:07pm

It was delightful, those early days when Republicans were in fractious disarray and the Democratic field bloomed with interesting candidates like a pasture full of daffodils — any of them! All of them! Bluebirds sang. We were rolling in good will.

Now, however, John McCain has unified the right with a lizardy, smothering oil of "my friend," "my friends" and "hey listen, pal." And Democrats are chewing each other's legs off.

Mccain hasn’t unified anything. The RNC is just ignoring the conservatives.

This author must have missed Reverend Not-So-Wright, who is more than a lizard, but less than a “reverend.”

Ya mean that it’s true that they’ll be dancing in the streets if Obama (or any Dhimmi) wins?

Yeah, I caught that too. “Unified the right” — not hardly. But he’s what we’ve got and I won’t be voting FOR him so much as voting AGAINST the Dims.

I figure that if the Arab American News feels nervous enough to print this article from a Columbia University liberal, then that is somewhat telling.

John McCain will never be president of the USA. Count on Obama.

Actually, I believe McCain will be. Hillary will alienate the Black vote in securing the nomination. They will just sit it out...

Obama is done, from what I can see. If not, he will be.

All McCain has to do is play it cool, calm and he will secure the Middle vote that is key to any victory.

...the Middle vote that is key to any victory.

That's not victory, unless you mean for the Left. Reagan appealed to the Conservatives in the Democrat Party, especially the Social Conservatives. McCain seems to be reaching for the Leftists as Leftists. Not victory at all, except for the Rockefeller Republicans and the Left.

Obama’s racist pastor/20 years of being in that church is a HUGE issue. It is going to turn a large number of people off. This one can kill his candidacy. Don’t underestimate it. They believe this crap and they will be unable to dodge it. He will get pinned down on it more and more and people will not believe his rationalizations.

Michelle will just keep flapping her gums and saying racist stuff whenever someone shove a mic in her hand to let her babble on. She won’t be able to shut up about it because this is what she believes.

It will be McCain vs Hillary. Her negs are higher than his. He wins. I won’t be happy either way. Them’s the breaks.

I never said I meant a conservative victory. I simply meant a victory for McCain.

However, I believe at this point, barring some unforeseen circumstance, a McCain victory is still in our best interests.

Forget our distaste of him..Forget our perfection of ideals for now..

A Hillary victory would be deadly to our country, and it could put us on a non recoverable path to totalitarian government.

Is "teaching them a lesson" worth that?

All of the younger generation had better read up on history. When our freedoms are lost, I will be dead.

You all better be doggone sure of what you are doing, or it will be over

My view is that McCain would be able to push through more Liberal - Marxist legislation in the name of compromise than the Dims could dream of passing. Is an R next to the name worth that?

I've always felt that the people would wise up to Obama and see that the Emperor has no clothes. He was never going to fool all the people all the way until November, but he may be falling apart too, too soon. But he will still limp into Denver as the pledged delegate leader. And as Nancy Pelosi said just today, "It would be very bad for the Superdelegates not to honor the winner of the pledged delegates."

I thought that Rezko would be his undoing. But his minister explains why the Obama family doesn't "feel the love" for our country. It just shows how poorly vetted Obama is this late in the primaries, after he's locked up the pledged delegate lead.

Now with Obama limping into the finish but still with a lead, he won't give up. And Hillary will hang in since Obama is "damaged goods."

This is truly the strangest Presidential race that I have ever witnessed so far.

I don't know. This is a terrible election with which we are confronted.

You better be sure.

I think we can NEVER recover from a Hillary presidency. I do think we could survive a McCain presidency.

You decide.

I have concern if or when Obama loses. I can’t shake the feeling there would be such riots throughout the country, it would make the 60s look like child play.

As always, I am sure glad I live in a small town.
