To a number of the people packed into Soldiers & Sailors Military Museum and Memorial yesterday evening, this was more than just another politician on the campaign stump.
This was history, unfolding right up there on the stage, right before their eyes.
A woman who might be elected president of the United States.
"To be honest, no, I never thought I'd see the day," said Audrey Johnston, 76, of Scott, who attended Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's speech with her daughter, JoAnn Ferraiuolo, 56, of North Versailles.
"The good ol' boys club always seemed to have their say," said Ms. Johnston, a retired food service manager. "To come this far and see a woman candidate, this is change. This is big-time change."

It probably seems like a major change when it eventually happens, but after it happens it will be known as SSDD.
The only value the "Democrats" give anyone is to give insight into their racist, sexist, bigoted minds. It must be sad to live such a narrow existance. Misery loves compny so they will try to get others to think the same.
I’ll vote for any woman candidate who is for limited government, lower taxes, upholds the Constitution and knows how to kick ass when needed.
Exactly. I would have had no problem if the late Jean Kirkpatrick was president, or if the late, former Idaho congresswoman Helen Chenoweth had been elected president.
But Hillary Rodham Clinton? Yes, I have a problem with a communist, Orwellian, power hungry scumbag being elected president. And, Madam Hillary and her so-called husband’s ties to the Chinese government, and vice versa, are worrisome, if not outright treasonous.

Keep herdin’ those sheeples.....
Now they have the sad choice of being racist and nominating white Hillary or being sexist and nominating male Obama.
vote for hillary’s girfriend.....huma!!!!
All this article demonstrates is how so very many women hate men.
Precisely. Beyond that, when women vote for a candidate only because she is a women, they are being sexist. I'm really tired of the double standard. Hillary doesn't deserve to be president, and there is little doubt that if she were not a woman she wouldn't be a viable candidate. She has benefited from her gender markedly.
Some, like Babs Stresiand, should not have done that.
