I think it’s important to remind people that plenty of states don’t even have the death penalty on this books for this sort of crime, much less actually carry it out. This article tells us that when a man rapes and severely injures an infant in the state of Pennsylvania, the best outcome we can hope for from the “justice “ system is that the taxpayers get socked with a bill for around $3 million dollars for upkeep for this monster for several decades in prison. That certainly over 90% of the taxpayers would rather see the perp executed quickly and the money used to help the victim instead, is irrelevant to the state government.
Its what child molesters face in prison.

You can’t fix a problem if you don’t know it exists. If all news regarding the abuse of children and babies were suppressed, we’d be negligent as society and tacitly enabling the continued abuse.
It’s relevant news as tragic as it is and the community is better for knowing about it. Prayers for infant.

This scum of the earth should get a bullet in his head asap. There is no reason for him to have done this. NONE. I don’t care if he is sick in the head. The world doesn’t need this kind of sickness. We don’t need him to someday get out of jail & repeat his crimes. He won’t get jail house justice because we stick these scummers in a protected part of the jail...It makes me sick that the victims get no justice or protection yet this scummer will. IMO he ought to just hang himself & do the world a favor. And yes at 18 yrs old he is a man for your information.
I’ve been praying for this poor baby since I first read about it last night. I will continue to pray for her.
Of little satisfaction, if he is convicted, either he will spend all his time (and one can only hope its on the upper side of life) in segregation, or he will not live for more than a few months in general population.
As for the rest of us, I suspect most of us came to the thread in a daze, thinking "Who is capable of this sort of evil? What face could hide it??"
I'm sorry you are uncomfortable with those of us who are outraged at this story. Hopefully you can go somewhere and find the sort of people you'd rather be with.

I personally don’t believe that the framers ever imagined psychopaths like this. I’m sure it happened, but the consequences were outside of the legal system, as they should be today.
