An Oklahoma lawmaker has received an avalanche of criticism, reportedly including a few death threats, for calling homosexuality a greater threat to America than terrorism. Republican state legislator Sally Kern has apparently made the comment in more than one venue, and even now defends her statement while the condemnation rolls in from around the country. Kern has only mellowed it to insist that she meant no gay-bashing:
A YouTube audio clip of a state lawmakers screed against homosexuality, which she called a bigger threat than terrorism, has outraged gay activists and brought death threats rolling in.
The homosexual agenda is destroying this nation, OK, its just a fact, Rep. Sally Kern said recently to a gathering of fellow Republicans outside the Capitol.
Studies show no society that has totally embraced homosexuality has lasted, you know, more than a few decades. So its the death knell in this country.
I honestly think its the biggest threat that our nation has, even more so than terrorism or Islam, which I think is a big threat, she said.
Kern said she has no regrets for her statements and denies she was gay-bashing. Her Christian faith teachers [sic] her to be loving to individuals, but not their lifestyle, she said.
Gays are a bigger threat than Islamist terrorists? Only if one feels less than confident about their own sexuality. In the real world, gays dont threaten anyone with their choices. Kern, however, has paranoid notions of gay infiltration of city councils in an effort to drive America to ruin. Oh, the humanity!
But dont let anyone say that Kern engages in gay-bashing! No, no, no, she hates the sin and loves the sinners. She just doesnt love it when they conspire to undermine city councils and conduct indoctrination of children into their networks. She doesnt love gays who sneak gay-themed books into childrens libraries, which prompted legislation sponsored by Kern, and which failed to pass in the Oklahoma legislature. But dont say she bashes gays, for Petes sake!
Unfortunately, many take this far too seriously. Republicans at some point have to distance themselves from those whose paranoid impulses lead them to these extremes. In practical terms, they are no better than those who blame Halliburton for conspiring to push the nation to war, or those who believe that the CIA secretly masterminded the 9/11 attacks in order to bolster their budgets.
Worst of all, it takes our eyes off of those who really do want to destroy America like Osama bin Laden, the Iranian Guardian Council, and other real enemies of our nation.
It matters what people post on this Forum.
So when gays do take over a city council and conduct indoctrination of children or sneak gay-themed books into children's libraries we are not allowed to criticize because it would be gay bashing? Think again.
Mrs. Kern's outraged critics and the quoted writer should try telling that to the former residents of Sodom and Gomorrah, but that would be difficult to do because they would have to find an open line to Hell to send the message through.
God will not long tolerate a nation which honors homosexual depravity with the same official recognition it gives to the God-ordained union between male and female humans that has been the only recognized type of marriage in any nation of any importance for all of recorded history. I fully expect the US to take the next giant step toward it's inevitable destruction with the coming to power of another and even more flagrantly pro-homosexual "rights" Democrat administration backed by a Democrat majority in both the House and Senate.
If I am still here on planet Earth in mortal flesh when the US falls whether by a blinding flash of nuclear light or by a long and painful process of decay and dissolution, I will sadly mourn it's falling from it's past dominance of the world's stage after such a well intentioned beginning. The US nation and it's Constitutional Republican form of government was in large part designed and created by God fearing patriots who believed and put into words on paper that only a body of people who are committed to and guided by the Judeo-Christian Bible and the gospel of Christ that it reveals and exposits can successfully establish a nation governed by and for the people themselves through a representative form of government. All that grand period of American history is now fodder for late night comedians and is scorned or ignored by revisionist historians, while the eternally true and all sufficient Word of God is ridiculed by America's academia and in our government schools as an ancient book filled with archaic traditions and bloody fairy tales which are believed only by gullible children and weak minded adults who are incapable of facing what the scoffers profess to believe are scientifically proven facts.
For years I have been seeing one-frame cartoons in magazines and newspapers showing a tattered, street-dwelling derelict carrying a sign saying "The End Is Near". After all that has happened in and to our nation in the last 16 years, and in light of what appears certain to come next with next January's inauguration of a new Democrat Chief Executive and Commander in Chief, I am beginning to seriously suspect that those signs are not just the invention of some cartoonist's mind, but are entirely believable predictions of the eventual fate of our nation and it's founder's brilliant concept of government of, by, and for the people.
Thank you for your response. I generally, vaguely, agree with you in part; I disagree in other regards.
I find the groups allied against us to be incongruous at best. I suppose their theory is to kill us first, their staunchest enemies, and then eat each other after we have left the scene.
For example, as to incongruous: NOW supports the woman-hater and defiler Billy C., liberals support the atavistic cannibalistic Pals (who even other Arabs hate) against the Israelis, liberals support the Islamic fascists who would kill their darling homos and then kill them, abortionists who decry the death penalty while supporting mass genocide of innocent American children; Jewish people who vote for democrats (that truly amazes me), blacks who will likely vote for HRC after she blatantly steals the nomination and disses Obama, and so forth. None of it makes sense logically.
But it’s not logical; it’s all ad hoc, make it up as you go, never stop, seize the headline warfare against those (us) who wish to keep America as it is (was) and those who want to turn it into a socialist state. An enemy of my enemy is my friend etc. They use the homo, illegal immigrant, black grievance agendas as fronts in their war against the America that has been the only bright city on the hill in history.
But, I don’t see a communist agenda though it is a culture war. Rather, I see it as a war between the elites and the rest of us. Forget the lawyers, first kill the middle class, and make those of supposed lower entitlement remain on the plantation and subservient.
The American electorate has moved to the left. Witness only the centrist policies of our candidate. Blame must go to Bush for not using the pulpit and righteous rhetoric at opportune moments. He may have meant well, but he is a failure and a fatality in this culture war, and he has imperiled us because of his reticence or inability to articulate his motives. Now we are stuck with Uncle Mac and two socialists, one (Obama) so far to the left it is amazing that any one other than sophmoric sophmores would even think of him as suitable for POTUS. It really is sickening.
But I do not see a Lenin/Trotsky/Stalin/Che/Hugo variable here. Those turkeys have been consigned to the trash heap of history. Rather, it’s the elites (B. Streisand, HRC, Gore, Clooney, Penn, Swimmer, we know who they are, ad nauseum to the point of vomit) against us. It’s the fight of our lives; it’s the fight of our generation. That’s why we cannot let 2006 repeat. We may be disdainful of McCain, but, as Rumsfeld observed, you fight the war with the army you’ve got. McCain is the only army we’ve got. I think McCain will win the election, but that does not mean an end to the effort of the elites to tell us how to live while they cavort about like paris hilton imbeciles.
I’ll check out Gramsci.
Thanks for sharing that with us. Have you considered moving to San Francisco?
If being Gay is so good, why does the Gay community feel the need to defend being Gay?
Why does the Gay community wish to indoctrinate children to a lifestyle that is self defeating. This is a definition of insanity.
Since Gays are incapable of reproduction, the Gay movement needs heterosexuals for the purposes of indoctrination, Currently they are trying to indoctrinate children since indoctrinating adults has failed.
Makes all republicans look bad IMO.
By the way, she has a gay son.
Your coolness with spin is defeated by your lack of reading comprehension. Care to share your SAT score?
In my father's day ( he is now 95) some men would have muscled that guy into a corner after the flight. But,,,,now the government schools are raising metrosexual, weeny, girly boys, who cut their meat with a plastic knives.
I guess you folks out there in Maryland have a hard time recognizing wry humor....
..but it IS strange that Mr Morrissey would use homo talking points for his arguments, don't you think?......and do you know that he is not in fact gay?....if he is, then what is wrong with speculation that he may be....and if being a homo is so noble and good, one would think that being "accused" of being one would be a good thing....right?
we are securely post-Marxist.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
We are NOT securely post-Marixst! All liberals are Marxists. Some know it. Other’s don’t.
Marxism is like a train line. No liberal is satisfied with the socialist train stops along the ride. A liberal will never be satisfied until they reach their final destination: Marxist Utopia.
Scratch a liberal and under his thin skin is a Socialist. Dig a little deeper and you will soon find the Marxist nuclear fuel rod that drives everything he says and does.

I recommend Antonio Gramsci. Brace yourself for an epiphany.
What seems so completely incongruous will suddenly make sense.
When all else fails, try the “it was just a joke” line. How’s that been working for you?
I was just making a joke. The homos and lesbos that mind their own business are not the problem. But when the radical homo activists start shoving their agenda down everyones throat they become a huge part of the problem that the PC presents as you rightfully point in your post. BTW, I will not call them gays, since there’s not much that is gay in their lives.
No, I wouldn't want to depress you.
Salute to a great post..
Source Please?
A lot of us come from an era that SAT was secondary to ACT for college entrance.. and a lot more of us have matured to understand that neither one made a hill of bean anyway.
My sister is a prime example.... scoring just above average on her ACT, she managed with hard work ethics to surpass both her brothers career wise.
My dad on the other side of the coin, scored a perfert score on his ACT.. He is simply brilliant, yet still to this day doesn't have enough sence to shut his door when exiting his truck.
Character trumps Scores... IMHO...
Actually, you are quite wrong. Due to The Fall, we are *all* born sinners, children of sin, of our father the devil.
Christ came to remedy that.
My tagline says it all....
