I believe she was devastated. You dont know here so quit the judging. That was no act. I know, Ive been there, done that.

Just like Mrs. McGreavey was devastated?
You don’t know either. That’s my point. At this point, all you do is “believe.” It would be easy enough for me to say that I don’t believe that a husband would be whoring around for 10 years and his wife wouldn’t know about it, wouldn’t have made her peace with it, long ago.
Be careful about investing your own emotions in a political wife. That’s what many of them are, political.
Men who throw it all away are really pathetic dumbasses who didn’t value what they had in the first place.
Easy to figure out.
I can’t judge how Mrs. McGreavey felt. None of us can really know how these women felt. They loved their husbands, that may have been their only ‘crime.’
Dr. Laura has said she was not talking about the Spitzers because she does not know them, knows nothing about them or their marriage, and that the media decided FOR RATINGS PURPOSES to connect her comments to the Spitzer marriage.
O.K. I don’t want to beat this to death. Whatever you experienced, I’m sorry you had to go through it. There’s nothing good about infidelity. My experience was 20+ years working in political Washington and I have a low “trust quotient” for liberal politicians, even their wives. For me, they are all pretty much guilty until they prove themselves innocent. And they almost never do. Alternatively, I’ve always admired Dr. Laura. My instinct is to defend Dr. Laura, yours is to defend Mrs. Spitzer. Neither is a crime.
Right. As a practicing medical professional, Dr. Laura can’t address specific remarks to people she’s never even met or spoken to. The idiots in the media, on the other hand, operate by no such codes and just bend everything to fit their agenda and story-line. It explains why they cannot EVER get anything correct about medicine or religion or any activity that might have ethics built into its fabric.
I like Dr. Laura, too. She tells it like it is. Her past is of no concern to me if she’s repented and made a good life for herself, which I believe she has. I can understand your viewpoint as well.
