I know, and it’s very depressing. It seems that we have a government that is run by special interest groups - racial and ethnocentric pressure groups, business lobbies (U.S. Chamber of Commerce, et al.),who love those low wages with no benefits, politicians who are pandering to the illegals for votes, and a political establishment that is oblivious to the facts. To cite only one example: Robert Rector of Heritage in ‘06 announced the results of an exhaustive study that is considered the most comprehensive, scholarly, and objective research into what the the effects of continued illegal immigration would have on the United States twenty years from now. The consequences would be devastating - including the collapse of the entire social and economic infrastructure of the United States. Some politicians like Sen. Jeff Sessions quoted from his report in the Senate. But, on the whole, this and other dire warnings have been deliberately ignored. I’m afraid we’ll get serious only when it’s too late.
Forget Osama bin Laden. The Feds are a bigger danger to my wife and kids.
