I guess it doesn’t pay to suck up to Ahmadinejad and the Castro crime family, and then ask for the votes of Jews and Cubans.
Florida is easily ours this election. McCain will keep Ohio and flip Michigan and Pennsylvania too.

The polls do indicate that Hillary is the weaker opponent. I really hope Hillary steals the nomination from Obama.

Hillary IS the weaker opponent . . . unless Obama convinces people he isn't "that guy" who is associated with Rev. (and I use the term loosely) Wright. His whole shtick was based on being a "new" kind of candidate, and not an old-fashioned civil rights hack or a white-hater. But the new sermon stuff and Obama's difficulty in denying it is going to hurt him.
I think either way, McCain is in good shape, which is sad considering he's our nominee ;)

Rev. Wright will hurt Obama in a general election. But in a Dem primary, it may help him in black communities and college towns. The Hate America ideas of Rev. Wright are not uncommon in Black churches and college campuses.

Tell me about it. A black faculty member I know after 9/11, after I was condemning the terrorists, said, with a straight face, “Who, really are terrorists?”

Any guesses as to what becomes of Obama's supporters if Hillary does get the nomination? Will they sit it out , go to the streets, or go for McCain? How about Hillary's supporters if it goes the other way. It's kind of obvious to me that McCain doesn't have to run against both of them. The end game will see just one left with a lot of PO people sitting it out and some going for McCain in spite.

GtG

I think either way, McCain is in good shape...Yes, I'd say Florida is a battleground state, and a McCain win there, given its diverse demographics, would bode well for him nationally in the general election. But it's still early: 7 1/2 months to go.
...which is sad considering he's our nominee.
Yes, it's disappointing that he is the GOP nominee, but it would be much sadder if he were to lose to the 'Rat.
To: JHBowden
Oh I think that when America starts to hear about Obama’s hate whitey church, he is going to have trouble winning in middle America.
To: SampleMan
What are the numbers when they include Democrats in the polling? This result is based on a sampling of all voters, 'Rats included.
To: Gandalf_The_Gray
What many fail to realize is outcome that pi$$es off the most RATS is what we should want to happen at their convention.
Hillary getting the nomination will doom the RATS in the general election because the blacks will riot and burn down the convention and the barking moonbat hippies will vote for Nader!

Many Independents in suburbia could go either way with Obama and McCain. Should Hillary steal the nomination, these Independents may go to McCain.

Not possible. Half of FR insists McCain can’t beat either of them.
To: Gandalf_The_Gray
Here in Dallas I am already seeing “editorials” on, I believe BET, that basically are saying that Obama had better get the nomination or the black vote will be gone for the Democrats. It’s couched in “respect the will of the voters” language, but the tone makes it pretty clear what is really being said.
